TAIWAN’S TYPHOON LEAVES HUNDREDS INJURED

TYPHOON DANAS HAVE HIT TAIWAN, KILLING AT LEAST TWO, INJURING HUNDREDS OF PERSONS.

REPORTING THE INCIDENT, THE  CENTRAL EMERGENCY OPERATION CENTER SAID THE TYPHOON MADE LANDFALL IN BUDAI TOWNSHIP OF CHIAYI COUNTY IN SOUTHERN TAIWAN LATE YESTERDAY BRINGING HEAVY STORMS, WINDS AND TORRENTIAL RAIN IN THE REGION, WHICH LED TO EVACUATION OF ABOUT 3,483 PERSONS

IT WAS GATHERED THAT A POWER OUTAGE CAUSED BY THE STORM LED TO THE DEATH OF ONE PATIENT, WHILE THE OTHER PERSON WAS KILLED BY A FALLING TREE.

ABOUT 2,270 STORM-RELATED INCIDENTS ACCORDING TO THE EMERGENCY CENTER WERE REPORTED ACROSS THE AFFECTED REGION.​​​​​​​
