JAPAN MARKS 80TH ANNIVERSARY OF ATOMIC BOMBING

TOURISTS AND LOCAL RESIDENTS HAVE BEEN FORCED TO EVACUATE HOLIDAY VILLAGES AND RURAL TOWNS AS EMERGENCY CREWS BATTLE WILDFIRE IN SOME OF EUROPE’S MOST POPULAR SUMMER DESTINATIONS.

RAGING WILDFIRES THAT ERUPTED ACROSS PARTS OF SPAIN AND FRANCE REPORTEDLY KILLED ONE PERSON, INJURING NINE OTHERS, AS AUTHORITIES RACE TO CONTAIN THE FAST-MOVING FLAMES.

THE BLAZE FOLLOWS A 44°C HEATWAVE WHICH SPREAD ACROSS PARTS OF SOUTHERN EUROPE, LEAVING A NUMBER OF PERSONS DEAD.

TURKEY, GREECE AND BULGARIA HAVE ALL SEEN WILDFIRES SPREAD ACROSS THE BALKAN REGION, CREATING DANGEROUS CONDITIONS FOR LOCALS AND HOLIDAYMAKERS ALIKE.
