EKITI SET FOR 2ND IKOGOSI MARATHON AS GOVERNOR OYEBANJI DRIVES TOURISM

EKITI STATE IS TAKING THE LEAD IN TOURISM AND SPORTS DEVELOPMENT AS GOVERNOR ABIODUN OYEBANJI CHAMPIONS THE 2ND IKOGOSI 17.5KM ROAD RACE SCHEDULED FOR NOVEMBER 8.

ACCORDING TO THE ORGANISERS, IKOGOSI MARATHON INITIATIVE, THE RACE WILL KICK OFF FROM ILAWE EKITI AND TERMINATE AT THE WORLD-FAMOUS IKOGOSI WARM SPRING, SHOWCASING THE STATE’S SCENIC BEAUTY AND UPGRADED INFRASTRUCTURE.

THE LANDMARK EVENT IS EXPECTED TO DRAW ATHLETES, TOURISTS, AND INVESTORS FROM ACROSS THE GLOBE, WHILE ALSO STIMULATING LOCAL COMMERCE, HOSPITALITY, AND THE SMALL BUSINESS ECOSYSTEM.

MORE THAN 500 YOUTHS WILL BE TRAINED AS VOLUNTEERS, WITH ARTISANS, SMES, AND CULTURAL TROUPES SEIZING THE OPPORTUNITY TO DISPLAY THE RICH VIBRANCY AND CREATIVITY OF EKITI STATE.

UNDER GOVERNOR OYEBANJI’S LEADERSHIP, THE IKOGOSI MARATHON HAS BECOME MORE THAN A SPORTING SPECTACLE, POSITIONING EKITI AS A HUB FOR BUSINESS, CULTURE, AND TOURISM.
