ROAD ACCIDENT CLAIMS SEVEN LIVES IN SOUTH AFRICA

AT LEAST SEVEN PERSONS HAVE REPORTEDLY DIED, WHILE FIVE OTHERS GOT INJURED AFTER A TRUCK TRANSPORTING FARMWORKERS IN MPUMALANGA, SOUTH AFRICA GOT INVOLVED IN A CRASH.

REPORTING THE INCIDENT, ROAD TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT CORPORATION SPOKESPERSON SIMON ZWANE SAID THE ACCIDENT TOOK PLACE IN THE EARLY HOURS OF TODAY JUST AFTER THE R42 DELMAS.

HE ADDED THAT A HINO TRUCK TRANSPORTING ABOUT 22 FARMWORKERS TO A FARM IN THE AREA WAS STATIONARY IN THE EMERGENCY LANE WHEN A VOLVO ARTICULATED TRUCK CRASHED INTO IT FROM THE REAR.
