
FOLLOWING A MEETING BETWEEN THE MANAGEMENT OF THE LAGOS STATE UNIVERSITY, LASU AND THE STATE DEPUTY GOVERNOR, DR OBAFEMI HAMZAT, THE INSTITUTION’S WORKERS HAVE CALLED OFF THEIR INDUSTRIAL ACTION.
THE NEWS DEVELOPMENT WAS MADE KNOWN IN A STATEMENT SIGNED BY THE DEPUTY REGISTRAR AND COORDINATOR, CENTRE FOR INFORMATION AND PUBLIC RELATIONS, LASU THOMAS-ONASHILE OLUWAYEMISI.
OLUWAYEMISI CONFIRMED THAT THE JOINT ACTION COMMITTEE, JAC HAD AGREED TO RESUME FULL OPERATIONS STARTING FROM TOMORROW.
RECALL THAT THE STRIKE, WHICH BEGAN ON JULY 31, WAS DECLARED BY THE JAC OF STAFF UNIONS, PROMPTING THE INSTITUTION’S SENATE TO SUSPEND ALL ACADEMIC AND SOCIAL ACTIVITIES.
